Sequel to: The war that saved my life.
Summary: Ada's clubfoot is surgically fixed at last and she comes to understand that her mother's taunting words couldn't be further from the truth. She and her brother Jamie move into a borrowed cottage with their legal guardian Susan, where they meet a Jewish girl from Germany named Ruth.
