Summary: Cyril, Anthea, Robert and Jane have discovered an enchanted creature in their gravel pit. The grouchy Psammead is able to grant them wishes! Unfortunately, his unpredictable magic often goes hilariously wrong, and the children soon find themselves in all kinds of trouble.
