Notes
Kete often have an interesting social history, associated with the weavers who made them, the people who have owned and used them, the materials and styles in which they are made, the functions they fulfill, the places and events they have been to. In this book, owners of kete contribute stories associated with one or more of their kete, giving a diverse range of anecdotes that add to and complement the photos of the kete. Contributors include well known people such as Dame Joan Metge, Merimeri Penfold, Manos Nathan, Pa Henare Tate and Florrie Berghan. 111p.
