Jess is a natural born runner, and is chosen for the city track team. True to form however, her artist mum doesn't share her excitement or Jess's interest in track and field. She instead, signs Jess up for a painting course. Jess would rather not have conflict with her mother, whom she loves, and then suddenly her mother becomes ill. Age 13+.
