Notes
Summary: In London's Belgravia, Tamsin, the daughter of a housekeeper, lives next door to Edie St Clair, the famous author of the London of the Bells series of graphic novels. And it's common knowledge that the tenth and final novel in the series is overdue. With the media camped out on Edie's doorstep, Tamsin (Edie's biggest fan) wants to lend her favourite author some moral support. She plucks up the courage to give Edie one of her own drawings to let her know she's thinking of her. Edie is so impressed that she offers her lessons. Before long, Edie reveals a secret -- she can, literally, draw herself into the London of the Bells. She says she's about to do this again, because her characters are not happy about the ending she has planned for them and that's why her novel is late. And when Edie goes missing, Tamsin attempts to draw herself into the novel and finds that it really is possible to enter the fictional world. But in this fictional London, Tamsin soon finds herself in danger and wills herself to be strong -- she has to find Edie. And when the characters she meets tell her that she's a fictional character herself, she finally finds and confronts Edie back in the real world where Edie reveals to the press that she has already begun a new story. One with a brave, strong and true heroine she knows everyone will love just as much as her previous characters. Her name is Tamsin. (Publisher)
